A Letter of Welcome from Father Petringa

Welcome to Saint Luke's Parish web site. Being able to provide information through this medium has been a hope of mine since my arrival here at the parish. I am grateful to those who have worked so hard to make this a reality. I am also grateful to our host who has donated this service in memory of Patrick Winston, a faith-filled and long time parishioner.

It is in that same spirit of faith that we reach out to you in the electronic age through the Internet. Those of you who access this site are part of a new generation that communicates through the world of the computer, a world to which some of us are still struggling to adapt. But for those of you are adept in this medium, we reach out to you and hope to provide information that will keep you informed about our parish and all of its activities, programs and sacramental celebrations.

Even as our parish and staff try to keep up with the latest innovations in communication, we are still rooted in the age old traditions of our Catholic Christian faith which calls each of us to service. Please know that all of our staff is ready and willing to help you in any way that we can. While some of us are not the best with computers, we still use the old methods of the telephone and face to face meeting. We will do our best to respond to your needs.

While I use this opportunity to welcome you to this web site, let me also invite you to participate in our celebration of the Eucharist. It is in our prayer as a community, gathered around the Lord's table, that we experience the generous love of God and the support of all his people. Please join us in prayer and celebration.

It is our hope that you will find this site useful and it will meet your needs as we move into the future together. Please let us know what we can do for you.

Sincerely,

Father Gerard Petringa
Pastor
